Teaching
Joe offers both 1-1 and group tuition, on drum kit, piano and music theory, for 30 minute, 1, or 2-hour lessons. he has experience teaching at a range of ability levels and ages. The lessons are structured around the students’ interests and goals whether it be working through grades or learning your faviourite songs! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

“ As an absolute beginner Joe had the responsibility of introducing me to the entire instrument. He made sure I was engaged from the start, allowing me to choose the genre and direction of the lessons. Joe was also very clear and concise - demonstrating techniques rather than showing off his skill which I appreciated (having had teachers favour the latter in the past). As our sessions were only biweekly Joe suggested I take videos of what we learnt in that session which was extremely helpful during practise and meant the extra effort of remembering what was covered was able to be spent on the practicing itself instead. This also meant my progress was recordable which definitely helped to keep me motivated. Joes patience was also very helpful, as a student with dyslexia and slow processing sometimes learning can take longer and teachers can be frustrated but I never felt that from Joe and instead was encouraged by his patience as it allowed me to understand techniques without any added pressure.”
